We need a writer! Send us a contact email through the contact form and let us know why you would be a good writer. We are looking for a tankly writer, preferably someone able to write about all aspects of tanking, from raids, to gear, to theory crafting.
I hope that the information I’ve provided in the video below allows you to successfully gain those server first achievements. If you have any questions please feel free to ask questions in the comments! If for some reason you aren’t playing on launch day I’ll be powering to level 90 and streaming it all at twitch.tv/shaidyadvice
NB: This has all changed with the removal of the 6% crit reduction for locks and non-prot warriors, this change relegates lock “tanking” to low level mobs or purely spell based bosses. If you are reading this and would like me to do a full on guide for the kind of tanking we can now do, please let me know in the comments. It’s going to be extremely situational in progression raiding so I won’t be doing too much on it unless I get some feedback!!!!
Yeah, that’s right, Diablo 3. It’s here, it’s out, and with Warcraft in a bit of a stable state while everyone awaits the release of Pandaria, we’re going to be hopping over to the other side of the pond and seeing what life is like in Tristram.
This week, we’ll be digging a little deeper into the tanking spec of the Monk class, the Brewmaster and looking over some of the signature abilities of the tanking spec and what sort of playstyle we can expect to see from it.
Many of the Brewmaster specific abilities seem geared towards not just a flat reduction of damage like the classes we work with now, but taking the damage dealt to you, dicing it up into more managable chunks instead of the big spikes and setting those up to hit you over time to make it a little easier to keep your health up.
There are no more content patches planned to be released in the current iteration of the game.
The rate of subscribers deciding to take a break until the next expansion is released to sort of give themselves a chance to recover from burnout.
There’s a progressive buff in the current dungeon that opens up the content of the final raid dungeon to a wider portion of the population.
All signs that point toward the upcoming release of another expansion.
